Terms Entered in Search
A name, location, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates the search service. Rusk County Released Inmates does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider receives the query under its own privacy practices and technical controls.
Messages Sent to Us
Email and contact-form messages are retained as needed to read the request, prepare a response, and maintain a record of the exchange. Message content is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law, legal process, or a valid government demand.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Ordinary web systems create technical records each time a page loads. Those records may contain:
- The internet protocol address used for the visit
- The browser name, version, and related settings
- The device category and operating system
- Pages opened and the time spent on them
- The referring website, when that information is available
- The date and time attached to each request
Browser Cookies
Cookies may be used to understand visits and how site features work. A browser can reject or remove cookies through its settings. Blocking them may change how certain tools, preferences, analytics, or advertising features behave.
Reasons Data Is Used
Collected data supports the site's operation and helps identify which resources work well. Uses include:
- Keeping pages available, responsive, and reliable
- Sending search requests to the appropriate partner service

Privacy on Linked Services
Rusk County Released Inmates links to Rusk County Sheriff and jail resources, Texas Department of Criminal Justice systems, parole and probation information, federal and ICE portals, public-record sources governed by Texas Government Code Chapter 552, and outside search tools. Once a visitor follows one of those links, the destination's privacy policy and data practices control the visit.
Some advertising providers may use their own technologies to measure activity across different websites and select interest-based ads. That tracking occurs on the provider's systems, not in a database maintained by Rusk County Released Inmates.
Parties That May Receive Data
Personal information is not sold. Limited information may be provided to these parties when needed for the services described:
- Search partners that process a visitor's query
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and site performance
- Advertising networks that deliver or evaluate ads
- Law-enforcement agencies or other government bodies responding to a valid legal order
Safeguards and Security Limits
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect information within our control. No website, network, storage platform, or internet transmission can be guaranteed free from intrusion or loss. Rusk County Released Inmates therefore cannot promise that data will remain secure in every circumstance or that a breach is impossible.
Visitors Younger Than Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly seek or collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a parent, guardian, or minor believes information was submitted, use the Contact Us page to request review and deletion.
Choices About Personal Data
Subject to applicable law and the ability to verify a request, a visitor may:
- Ask for a copy of personal data held by the site
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Request deletion of information associated with the visitor
- Object to or opt out of certain forms of processing
These choices apply to information controlled by Rusk County Released Inmates. Requests about a sheriff record, TDCJ record, court filing, or third-party search account must go to the office or provider that controls it.
Changes to This Notice
This Privacy Notice may be revised as services, legal duties, or data practices change. A revised version becomes available on this page and will carry a new effective date so visitors can identify the current terms.
